Using the ‘Engage LURITS Feed’ (ELF), Engage can submit the LURITS report (Learner Unit Record Information and Tracking System) through SA-SAMS thereby sending the required data direct to the Department of Basic Education (DoBE) at the push of the ELF button. SA-SAMS is the third party, government provided program.

LURITS is required by all South African schools, apart from those on the Western Cape, every quarter.

Auto replaces Manual

Many schools still load LURITS data manually through SA-SAMS, an extremely labour intensive task. But with Engage’s ELF, provided the data is already in Engage it’s uploaded into SA-SAMS for you, meaning that submission is but a few moments of an administrator’s time.

What about LURITS ‘Errors’

ELF will automatically advise of any ‘Errors’ before exporting the data to SA-SAMS for onward transmission of LURITS to the DoBE. At this point, it’s possible for the School either to add the missing data into Engage or you simply to push the data across anyway and override any ‘Errors’.
