Share Ideas for Engage Development
Share Ideas directly influences the development direction our Engage school management information system and Engage Accounts.
How does Share Ideas work?
Using the Share Ideas portal on our Support Centre website, any authorised user of Engage or Engage Accounts can propose, vote and comment not only on their own ideas but those of all our other schools from around the world.
Every month, the Development Managers examine those which prove the most popular and include them within the regular releases of the Engage systems. At the same time, ideas which appear not to be popular are examined and discussed to ensure nothing is missed, mis-interpreted or which is vital to a specific school's operation.
Hence, Share Ideas directly controls development thereby ensuring Engage and Engage Accounts grow in line with the ever demands of our schools, creating best practice software in line with the many hundreds of Engaged leading schools worldwide.
Double First's Share Ideas portal has a large range of easy-to-use tools encouraging collaboration directly with our programme of continuous improvement.
Read how easy Share Ideas is to use:
As soon as you log into Share Ideas you will see all the Ideas which have yet to be accepted, scheduled or released. The most recent is listed first. You can re-order them. From here you can read, comment and vote on Ideas.
Crediting back your votes
You can withdraw and re-allocate your votes at any time before cut-off. In addition, if an Idea you voted for is scheduled, you can retrieve your vote and have it credited as a thank you for your input.
Ideas which are ranked in the top two of the global Share Ideas wishlist on the date we exercise a cut off time, are added to the 'Accepted' page. The most recently accepted Idea is at the top of the list.
Intuitive system screen drop down
The System Screen dropdown is split into three dropdowns: Product, Module and Screen. Each of the dropdowns is context sensitive, making it easy to log your idea against the correct application and area.
As soon as an Idea is scheduled it is moved to the 'Scheduled' page with its planned release version displayed. You cannot cast votes on Ideas listed on the 'Scheduled' or Released pages.
New emailing options
You can set custom options for email alerts, including for when a new Idea is created, accepted, scheduled or released. You can also set alerts for your Ideas only, or for all that are created as well as when someone votes for your Ideas.
Once an Idea has been released it's moved to the 'Released' page where its release version is clearly visible. Engage release numbers comprise the month and year of the release making it easy to see when they'll become available.
Counting your votes
A quick glance at your User Profile page (accessible from the top right-hand side of the menu) will enable you to check how many votes you have cast and how many you still have in your pocket. You can set your alert subscribe options from here.
Order of comments
Comments are displayed with the most recent on top, so you can easily keep up with the conversation from the Engage schools in your region and around the world.
Easier identification of Ideas
Each Idea has an Idea ID displayed in brackets after its heading. You can use this for searches, avoiding having to remember that Idea's title.
