Engage – full support for schools during Covid-19 outbreak

A message from our CEO, Barry Anns, regarding the continuity of services to all African schools during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Barry Anns Engage CEO“The Engage team wants to re-assure you that our business is here to support your needs during the Coronavirus pandemic.

“We intend to fulfil 100 per cent of our commitments to the schools that use our Engage school management information system and finance software. Our team has the technological expertise and resources to play our part in controlling the spread of Covid-19 and minimise the impact on education and society.

“Our distributed workforce already works across many time zones and from different locations and our people, systems and processes are setup to support this style of working. We have now implemented our business continuity plan and many of our team members are working remotely, but in a highly connected way. You should experience very similar service from us, except that some of our staff members may also need to provide childcare in the days ahead. If the background noise on a call is slightly more than normal then, as guardians of our younger generations, we know you’ll understand why.

“Engage has put in place an extensive policy and we are risk assessing regularly to protect our staff and our customers. We continue to monitor advice from governments. Our actions will be in accordance with the latest guidance to which we have access. We will update this website and our social media channels with any changes and additional information as our plans evolve.

“Our objective is to match the calm, reassured and responsible manner that school leaders are adopting.

Using Engage to work with pupils remotely

A reminder that we offer the ability within Engage, very simply, for e-learning and managing students via our Student Portal.

Rolling out the Student Portal when purchased is very simple, as it uses the same code base as our Teacher Portal and Parents Portal. We can help schools to get up and running very quickly, working with you remotely and supporting you with training and assistance as needed.

Lesson Planning is built into Engage Teaching, so schools can get a head start setting those plans up.

You also have multiple ways of communicating directly with students and their parents through Engage.

If you would like assistance and you are an existing customer, please go to our Support Portal. Alternatively, if you do not yet use Engage, but have questions about how you can gear up to work more effectively during difficult times like school disruption and closure, please get in touch using our contact details below.

Barry concludes: “Whilst this is a chaotic, uncertain time, we are confident that school life will go on once we get through this difficult period, and Engage will always be there to support you and your school.”
