Excellent schools join Engage

In Port Elizabeth alone, we saw Engage blossom with Grey High School, Theodor Herzl, St George’s Preparatory and Woodridge College joining our Engage family.

We also welcomed St Patrick’s CBC Kimberly, Lebone II College of the Royal Bafokeng, Deutsche Schulverein Pretoria, EDU360 Sandton, and The Mountain Cambridge School Hartbeespoort.

In addition, we crossed borders with Soofia International School in Lesotho and Arundel School in Zimbabwe coming into the fold.

‘Why did Pridwin choose Engage?’

Eswee Prinsloo, Deputy Head and Head of Operations of Pridwin Preparatory School, was our guest speaker at the July Johannesburg User Group Conference. Eswee treated us to an insightful and enlightening testimony of Pridwin’s journey to Engage. It’s well worth taking time to watch this remarkable presentation.

Engage User Group Conferences

Mike Taylor (Operations Director) and Callum Shawdale-Mabon (Data Migration and Assessment Reports) from our UK HQ office joined us for our two conferences in July 2019.

St Peter’s College hosted our Johannesburg conference, for which we send a special thank you to Steve Tudhope, Director of Learning Technology, for being so gracious to our Engage Schools.

Somerset College was the host for the Cape Town conference. Gareth Tucker, Deputy Principal and Director of Cambridge Programme, gave us a warm welcome despite the fairest Cape weather greeting us with torrential rains and howling winds as only the Cape can provide! We had a day full of learning, networking, and new features in the pipeline for Engage. Gareth ended the day escorting us through the School’s innovative Technology and Interactive Project Centre.

Becoming paperless, data mining, and the Engage App

Our Engage Schools continue to make great strides in becoming paperless with Allayne Guest, Head of Academic Administration at Kingswood College, standing out in leading the paperless initiative.

Sarah Mitchell, IT and Innovations Manager, St Cyprian’s School, worked closely with our UK developers helping data mining reach deeper analytical levels when partnered with Microsoft’s Power BI.

The Engage App has taken leaps and bounds this year, with more development on the horizon.

Regional Manager’s gratitude

I thank all our Engage Schools for the way they have mastered this phenomenal software and for taking their schools to new heights. We have enjoyed a very blessed and extremely rewarding year in 2019, all thanks to you, our Engage Schools.

We will continue to strive to give you all no less than exceptional service from the SA and UK Engage Teams. We eagerly look forward to 2020.
