Barry Anns on BETT's Big Screen

Earlier this year, Engage’s parent company, Double First Ltd, showcased their award winning Engage school management software at London’s BETT 2018.

Accepted as the global education technology event held annually at London’s ExCeL international conference centre, 2018 saw all previous BETT records being broken. More than 850 companies were exhibiting and 34,700 visitors came from every possible corner of the globe.

Engage at BETT

Engage's meeting room at BETT 2018To celebrate our 30 year anniversary of creating management information software, Engage offered schools a calm space away from the normal hustle and bustle of BETT’s shop floor.

Engage’s exclusive meeting room provided the perfect setting to catch up with existing customers whilst meeting new schools and educators looking to learn more about Engage.

Here are some of our highlights from the week…

BETT’s big screen

Barry Anns on BETT's Big ScreenEdTech broadcaster, Disruptive Live, interviewed our CEO, Barry Anns, displaying on BETT’s big screen.

Barry discussed the future of cloud based EdTech and Engage’s plans to support the international marketplace.

Presentations and Refreshments

Fourteen Engage staff, dressed in Engage Green T-shirts (the Green Team!) hosted guests throughout the week with lunches and refreshments of all varieties being served to independent and international schools.

One-to-one presentations were given of Engage and Engage Accounts, our award-winning school management information software.

Engage held seminars every day. One of the most popular focused on Data Protection’s impending GDPR. Our Chief Technical Officer, Paul Rastall, led the sessions during the week, answering many key questions around school data management.

30 year Port and prizes

To accompany our daily offering of refreshments (and our anniversary 30 year old Port) Engage held a series of prize draws throughout the week, celebrating the best of British with a huge selection of themed hampers.

Welcoming a new school

Before signing off, we must make a special mention and welcome to Denmark’s International School of Ikast-Brande, which signed up to Engage on the last day of BETT, following the previous day with our team.

Signing off

Although exhausting, the team loved every minute of BETT. We thank everyone who took the time to visit us, and to those who were unable to attend, we hope to see you at one of the many exhibitions and conferences we attend over the coming season.
