A selection of the UK’s top students visited the House of Lords this week to receive the highest accolade from CIFE, the Council for Independent Education.
CIFE is the professional association for independent sixth-form colleges which promotes small classes, active teaching, good communication, effective pastoral support, expertise and flexibility.
Double First is delighted to be working in partnership with CIFE to support the growth of independent sixth-form colleges, nationwide.

The award winning students, along with proud parents, teachers and principals, enjoyed afternoon tea overlooking the Thames, hosted by Lord Lexden OBE.
Two staff from Double First, Kieran Millar (Group Finance Director) and Danielle Pilcher (Marketing Consultant) were among a handful of guests invited to support the prestigious event. The invitation to attend marked the beginning of an exclusive partnership between Double First and the Council for Independent Education.

Sally Powell, Chair of CIFE and Principal of Collingham Independent College in Kensington, London, explained, “Collingham College uses Engage. Double First understood where we were and where we want to go in the future. Since then, we’ve been dealing with a dedicated Implementation Manager. The helpdesk is fantastic so I must say our person-to-person contact has been great.
“The training provided ensures everyone is comfortable when using the Engage school management software. Engage meets the needs of the school and allows the staff to do the jobs for which they were recruited.”
